Hey Chella, I just saw the film adaptation of Their Eyes Were Watching God....It was most moving and I must say that I absolutely did not pick up on the extent to which the book was a love story when I read it in your class. I had quite a wrong perception of Teacake and just thought that Janie went through a series of bad men. I definitely have to read it again.... Have you seen it?
